Lynn Andersen - Solo English Handbells. Lynn Andersen grew up in a musical family of singers and instrument players (his grandmother is an Organist and played for silent movies). Lynn is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Utah where he received a Degree in Humanities and where he began his performance career on the Folkdance Ensemble as a Clogger. His ardent love of music has taken him into many facets of the art. He frequently performed in dance, singing or at the piano while serving as a Mormon Missionary in Vienna, Austria for several years. Returning to Utah, Lynn became a member of the Utah Valley Handbell Choir where he used his natural ability with rhythm and expression to develop his style in playing. Moving to New York State gave Lynn the opportunity to join forces with Composer and Concert Artist, Mark Andersen. The two now play frequent concerts, including Solo Handbells and Melody Chimes. Lynn is heard weekly playing bells on television and now records for International Artist Records where he performs exclusively on Schulmerich Bells. As a solo ringer Lynns background and agility in dance proves helpful in techniques of weaving and four-in-hand ringing.
